Foster Friess hits town on statewide tour

Regardless of the candidate— or what office they are running for— voters in Weston County seem to have one thing on their mind this election season. Republican gubernatorial candidate Foster Friess of Jackson found that out when he visited the community last week.

“A lot of the people I visited with locally think the roads need an uptick,” Friess told the News Letter Journal after spending an hour visiting with residents at the Weston County Senior Center last Friday.

The candidate arrived the previous evening, and undertook a similar exercise at the Newcastle Country Club, where he greeted participants in the weekly Men’s League as they completed their rounds and stopped by the clubhouse to turn in their scores.
