On April 17 in the year of our Lord 2018, Virginia Bau was unexpectedly called home to her eternal rest by Our Heavenly Father.
Virginia was born to Sophia and George Marchuk in Detroit, Mich. She married Chester Bay on Jan. 13, 1945. In 1947, Chester and Virginia moved to Four Corners, Wyo., where they raised sheep on a family ranch. In 1950 they moved to Osage, Wyo., where they raised their family. In 1997 Virginia moved to Newcastle, Wyo., where she shared a home with her mother, Sophia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester; and her daughter, Shirley Ann.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Oliver of N.C.; sons, David (Bonnie), Danny (Kim) John, Joe, Steve and Jim of Osage and Newcastle; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held on April 29, at 1 p.m. in Osage at the former Beer Hut and Store, next to the Osage post office.
A graveside service will follow at Boyd Cemetery in Four Corners.
