Trio earn scholarships by excelling beyond the field or court
The class of 2017 continues to put their talents where their wallets are as three more Dogies have secured scholarships to attend the college of their choice.
Colin Heaton, Kaprina Jones and Kinlee Whitney proved you don’t have to play a typical school sport, nor any sport at all, to earn money for your postsecondary education.
Heaton secured his way to Casper College with a full ride music scholarship, while Jones will venture to Weatherford College in Texas with a full ride rodeo scholarship. Whitney chose to go to Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington on a speech scholarship that will cover half of her tuition.
