Patrick and Christa Lacey recently purchased a mobile document destruction company that they run as a second job for both of them. A family enterprise, BAM Document Destruction and Recycling is named after the couple’s three daughters, Bailey, Abbey and Maggie.
According to Patrick, he and his wife have always talked about owning and operating their own business. So when BAM became available in July 2017, they took it over. The business was previously owned by Tom and Randy Hamilton..
“We just kind of stumbled across the opportunity and decided why not,” Patrick said.
The family is learning as they go. Patrick confirmed that with no previous experience in document destruction, there has been a learning curve. He said the family is catching on quickly, however, and enjoying the work.
