It was a tough weekend for the Lady Dogies’ Volleyball team, as they kicked it off with their conference opener against the number two-ranked Lady Bearcats of Douglas on Friday, and then turned around to face the number three-ranked Worland Lady Warriors on their home court on Saturday.
The Lady Cats boast two of the biggest hitters in the conference, and came in with a 2-0 sweep of the Lady Dogies so far this season. As such, the home team knew the challenge that lay ahead.
“Douglas is a great team, and they are one of the top dogs in 3A,” co-head coach Candi Stanton declared. “They can hold their own in a 4A, faster paced game, and I think we were a bit flat on Friday and definitely missing that spark.”
