The Lady Dogies used their opening weekend of competition at the Douglas Invitational Tournament to experiment with some different systems, and the results are promising. When all was said and done, the netters drove away with a 4-2 record which places them second in the Northeast East Quadrant behind the Lady Bearcats who are looking to be a powerhouse this season.
“I thought we had a really great opening weekend,” co-head coach Candi Stanton nodded. “We started and finished strong, so that’s awesome for the girls to build confidence as we head into the season.”
The ladies served up a win over Hot Springs, SD to start the tournament on Friday, despite dropping the first set to their opponent.
