The 2018 Wyoming Legislature mandated that state funding for Prevention Management Organization of Wyoming go to each of the state’s 23 county task forces. And that could be a good thing, says Kristi Lipp, the Weston County Prevention Task Force manager.
Lipp told the Weston County Commissioners on April 17 that the PMO contract with the state ends on June 30. With the start of fiscal year 2019 on July 1, the manner in which local task forces receive their funding is still up in the air, according to Lipp.
“The way the funding has been for six years is there has been a single fiscal agent for the Prevention Management Organization,” Lipp told the News Letter Journal at a later date. .
