The unofficial hospital and museum district board election results are now official according to Anna Miller Museum Director Bobbi Jo Tysdal and Weston County Health Service’s executive assistant Denice Pisciotti. The election was held on Tuesday, May 8, with two spots up for grabs on the hospital board and three on the museum board.
Georgenna Materi received the most votes for the Weston County Hospital District Board of Trustee election with 144 votes and Jeff Virchow pulled in 136 votes. Those two filled the seats on the board. Materi is returning to the hospital board while Virchow will be a new addition, beating out eight year incumbent Barry Peterson, who received 57 votes, and William Lunney who raked in 86 votes.
As for the museum district, Cindy A. Rhoades received 168 votes with Michael M. Mills and Bill A. Morris coming in a close second and third with 162 votes and 157 votes respectively. All three were incumbents who will retain their seats on the board.
