After suffering losses over the last three weeks, the Dogies headed to Burns last Friday determined to get a ‘W’ against the Broncs, and a quick start by their Laramie County opponent seemed to ignite a spark that turned into a blazing inferno and carried Newcastle to an easy 44-16 victory.
“Friday was a good night, and we needed that,” head coach Matt Conzelman nodded. “It was a huge confidence booster for us after losing those three in a row. I love how competitive this group is and how they fight in games, and you could really see it that night.”
The Broncs got on the board first. However, the Dogies had a quick answer for them, and by the time the first frame ended, they dominated Burns by a score of 31-8.
