The Dogies burst into the new year with three games last week, and thrilled their hometown fans with a decisive victory over the number five ranked Trailblazers of Torrington as they opened up conference play in the Dogie Dome last Friday.
“That was a huge win for us,” head coach Allen Von Eye exclaimed. “It was the biggest game of our season up to that point, and our kids were extremely focused.”
These two teams are no strangers to each other, as the same kids have been battling for the last three to four years. Not only do players know one another, but the teams are remarkably similar in size, athleticism and systems. As such, they match up very well against each other.
