Dogie men fall short to close out season

The Newcastle Dogies closed the book on their season, which head coach Josh Peterson admitted was a rebuilding year, with a 0-3 loss in the State Play-in game against Cody last Saturday in Worland.

Though the Dogies were held scoreless for the duration, there was no question the young squad competed hard as the score remained at 0-1 through the 65th minute of play.

“I really can’t complain about how the guys played,” Peterson declared. “We had a couple of chances early in the second half but were unable to finish, and then we just made a couple of little mistakes that they were able to capitalize on to score their three goals.”
