Four members of the Weston County Health Services board of trustees were just selected by voters in this month’s special district election, but the board is already putting out a call in search of another individual interested in filling an open seat on the board.
According to WCHS executive assistant Denice Pisciotti, Lisa Foster recently resigned from the board, which created another vacancy that needs to be filled until the May 2024 election.
Anyone interested in filling the vacancy will need to fill out an application. They are available at the front desk of the hospital, or can be provided upon request by Pisciotti. To qualify as a trustee, the individual must be a registered voter in Weston County.
Those who apply will be asked to attend the June 16 board meeting, trustees will ask questions of the applicants, including why they want to be a board member and what their qualifications are.
Pisciotti indicated that it is likely that someone will be chosen that night and sworn in immediately.
