Roy Allan Cummings, 63, died Tuesday, March 17, 2020, in his home. 

He was retired from Wyoming Refinery in Newcastle, Wyo. 

Roy was born on October 19, 1956, at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. His work history includes training to be a chef in Denver, Colo., many years in the oil field in Illinois and Wyoming, and Plastic Arts in Greeley, Colo.

He moved with his wife and kids and settled in Newcastle, in the early ’90s, where he drove truck over the road for Dixon Brothers, and finally finished his career at Wyoming Refinery, where he worked for 17 years and retired in 2013. 

Roy’s hobbies, and interest included golfing, which was his favorite thing to do. He also enjoyed collecting coins, collecting sports memorabilia — much of which included the Denver Broncos, and John Elway, camping with family, and taking care of his wife and family. He also enjoyed remodeling their home in his spare time after beginning his retirement. 

Roy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Deanna Cummings; sisters, Tammy Mullen and Cheryl Cummings; sons, Roy Allan Cummings Jr. and Jared Dean Cummings; daughters-in-law, Florence Cummings and Nicole Cummings; seven grandchildren, Aaliyah Banks, Zoi Martinez, Keondre Cummings, Skyler Cummings, Amesha Cummings, Aiden Cummings, and Kenyan Cummings.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol Roth Llewellyn/Cummings; his father, Roy Cummings Jr.; uncle, Abram Cummings; and his aunt, Lois Gabreil. 

Funeral service for Roy Allan Cummings was held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, at Meridian Mortuary, 111 S. Railroad Ave. in Newcastle. Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. on March 23 at Meridian Mortuary,
