Graveside services for Robert Dee “Bobby D” Mitich will be held July 3 at 11 a.m. at Boyd Cemetery at Four Corners, Wyo. 

Bob passed away April 16, 2019, in Yuma, Ariz., surrounded by family. 

He was born Aug. 29, 1941, in Newcastle, Wyo., to Millard Mitich and Ruth Bohan Mitich. He attended schools in Newcastle and graduated in 1959. After graduation he moved to Meridian, Idaho. 

Bob left for the U.S. Navy in February 1960. He was assigned to the destroyer USS Cony (DD/DDE 508) stationed out of Norfolk, Va. While assigned to the Cony, Bob participated in both the Bay of Pigs Invasion and the Cuban Missile Crisis. 

Bob married Linda Kay Hudson of Meridian in Virginia in 1961. Bob and Linda had two children, Kimberly Dee and Glenda Jo. After discharge from active duty, Bob and family moved back to Meridian. Bob became a journeyman electrician, a license he held for more than 50 years. 

Bob moved to Donnelly, Idaho, in 1987 where he worked as a building and electrical inspector until starting his own business, Mitich Construction and Snow Removal. 

Bob married Renee Dellgard in July 1998 in Donnelly, Idaho. After retirement in 2014, Bob and Renee took their motor home to Yuma. They enjoyed spending winters in Yuma where they purchased their “casita” and Bob took up golf and flying remote-controlled airplanes. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and many aunts and uncles. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Renee; two brothers; one step-sister; children, Kimberly (Jerry) and Glenda (Mark); step-children, Mike Dellgard (Andrea), Cheri Ivory (Curt) and Tim Dellgard (Jenifer); nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 

Following the service a luncheon will be served at the home of Steve Mitich at 3 Foothills Drive in Newcastle, for all family and friends.
