Dec. 30, 1930–Jan. 23, 2020

Mary May Bishop was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Osage, Wyo., to Jenny (Drapper) and Harley Branson.

Mary passed in her sleep on the morning of Jan. 23, 2020.

She loved to garden and was a member of the Osage gardening club for many years. She was an active leader in the Guys and Gals 4-H Club of Osage.

She married Joe Bishop, the love of her life, in 1951. They loved to dance, fish, and go camping. Mary loved everyone and vice versa. She went to get a new I.D. in 2005, she handed them her driver’s license and they told her to keep it. They had never seen one last updated in 1972.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Barbara Brown (Bill); brother, George Branson (Joan); sisters, Rose Brooks, and Enda Douglas; grandchildren, Deborah Bland, Michael Hackett, and Tina McAdams; great-grandchildren, Del Quinn and Evan McAdams.

Many thanks to very special friends, Patty Whitney, Cindy Crabtree, Kelly Cummings, Suni Johnson and many others. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in Mary’s name to benefit Osage Ambulance Service.

Graveside service for Mary Bishop will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, at Greenwood Cemetery in  Newcastle, Wyo., with Burt Sutherland officiating. Celebration of life will follow at 3 p.m., at Kitty Moats School in Osage.

Memorials and condolences may be sent in care of Meridian Mortuary, 111 S. Railroad Ave., Newcastle, WY 82701. Condolences may also be expressed at
