JOSEPH ‘JOE’ RICHARD CUMMINGS

July 6, 1977–June 20, 2022 
Joe Cummings, 44, of Osage, Wyo., passed away at his home on June 20, 2022.
Joe was born July 6, 1977, to Buzz and Becky Cummings. As a child, Joe and his brother Chad spent their time playing sports, hunting, racing, and seeing who was the toughest. Joe attended school in Upton, and after graduating he joined the Marines in 1996 where he worked as a motor transport operator in the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Division until his honorable discharge in 2000.
In February of 1998, Joe married Karianne Cummings in North Carolina, where he was stationed at Camp Lejeune. 
After the military, he joined the oil field and when he wasn’t working, he enjoyed riding his Harleys, hanging out with his kids, watching cartoons and hunting or shooting guns.
Joe eventually had a career at Black  Thunder Coal Mine where he met his best friend and love of his life, Bonnie Tolson.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents. 
He is survived by his children, Tyler Cummings, Amber Cummings, Wesley Cummings, and Abigayle Cummings; brothers, Daniel Hammond and Chad (Bridgette) Hodson; sister, Irene Reub; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and pets. 
Services will be held Saturday, June 25, at 1 p.m. at the Upton Community Center in Upton, Wyo., with Chuck
Wood officiating.
