Cowgirl Golf ready to compete at Chambers Bay Invitational

LARAMIE, Wyo. (April. 9, 2022) – The Wyoming Cowgirl Golf squad will suit up for their second to last tournament of the season this week as they travel to University Place, Washington for the Chambers Bay Invitational at Chambers Bay Golf Course hosted by Seattle.  
Last time out the Cowgirls played the role of host at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic where they came away with a 17th place team finish against a competitive 22 team field. Kyla Wilde led the the way at the Cowgirl Classic finishing tied for 34th and closing out the tournament as the only Cowgirl to finish inside the top 35.  
Playing as an individual, Cristiana Ciasca turned in her best tournament of the season at the Cowgirl Classic earning a season best finish of tied for 50th finish while posting her best single round score and best three round score of the season. Ciasca will now move into the starting lineup carry that momentum into the Chambers Bay Invitational.  
Joining Ciasca and Wilde in the Cowgirl lineup will be the trio of Morgan Ryan, Samantha hui and Meghan Vogt. Jessica Zapf will also be in action competing as an individual.  
The Chambers Bay Invitational will sport a tough 18 team field that features multiple mountain west teams as well as multiple teams ranked inside the top 50. UCLA checks in as the highest ranked team in the field currently sitting at 15th in the nation. No. 32 and No. 50 Washington are the next two highest ranked teams in the field.  
The Chambers Bay Invitational will tee off on Monday on the 6,046-yard par 72 course with the first 36 holes of play set to tee off at 9:00 a.m. MT.
