Architect committed to saving courthouse

Difficulties continue to surround the renovations at the Weston County Courthouse, but that may be fitting since the situation somewhat resembles the discord when the building was constructed in 1911.

Contractors, to date, have not been fired, as they were in 1911, but in 2017 money concerns related to the upgrades and renovations have been the topic of discussion time and time again.

Architect Randy Hein with Casper-based Hein|Bond has been involved with the Weston County Courthouse project since he completed a courthouse assessment paid for by a $5,000 Federal Historical Society grant and a $2,000 county match. At that time, Hein considered the courthouse and potential renovations worthy of saving, and a budget was developed.
