A one-act farce last weekend was the fall offering by The Birdcage Theatrics Company, following a scrumptious meal from a baked potato bar at First United Methodist Church. The play, “Box and Cox,” was originally written and produced in Paris in 1846, but actors Jimmy Long, Thomas Voss and Stephen West — who were given free reign with the script — replaced much of the British lines with those more “Newcastle.”
