City crews worked furiously on Feb. 5 to clear the 12 inches of snow that fell in Newcastle in less than 24 hours. According to Weston County Natural Resource District Manager Lacey Sloan, Newcastle at that point had received 24 inches of snow since the beginning of the year. (Photo by Bob Bonnar/NLJ)
